Job Skills/Requirements

Securemedy. Inc. is currently seeking Protective Service Officers for Federal Protective Service contracts in the District of Columbia. The Protective Service Officer will assist Federal Protective Service in the protection of Federal facilities, property, employees, and facility guests on behalf of the people of the United States. 

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma 
Must be a United States Citizen 
Must have Protective Service Officer certifications 

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing internal and external customers with timely, quality and courteous stakeholder service. 
  • Make sure the sites forms are filled out completely for your particular shift. 
  • Understand why adherence to policy is important and can communicate that to others. 
  • Able to process American Security Programs documents or complete American Security Programs forms. 
  • Patrol to ensure that only authorized personnel/ vehicles enter facilities. 

Pay rate: $25.60 Plus $4.05 Health and Welfare 

Mandatory Certifications for FPS Officers: 
  • Must be able to provide Exhibit 3A (Contractor Basic 64 or 72 hour), and Exhibit 3B (Contractor Basic Weapons 40 hour), Exhibit 3D (Contractor Refresher, if applicable) 
  • Firearms Qualification (Shoot sheet with score or Exhibit 3B or 3F) 
  • FPS Supervisory Exhibit 
  • AED/CPR & First Aid 
  • Baton & OC 
  • Final Suitability Letter or Recent Preliminary Favorable Letter 
  • Training can be provided by our Training Academy 
Education & Screening Requirements 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Screening Requirements: Drug Screen, Physical Exam
